The suffering of the Serb Christian community in Sarajevo has been neglected

The media and NGOs played a major role in the campaign of demonization of Serbs by spreading false information and focusing their attention and compassion exclusively on the very real suffering of Muslim citizens while completely ignoring the suffering of Serb citizens.

We have to bear in mind that what happened in Bosnia and Herzegovina 30 years ago is not a new episode, but as a matter of fact, a continuation—50 years later—of what happened in World War II.

The application of restorative justice in Srebrenica region for future reconciliation in society

Armed conflicts are complicated events with lasting psychological implications for all survivors. It is more than clear that the population of this region, as well as the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina, regardless of their ethnic background, has experienced a great tragedy and a new trauma that often builds on the traumas of previous wars. The consequences of war horrors are present in members of all combating parties.

It is important to recognize that conflicts like the one in Bosnia and Herzegovina were multifaceted, involving multiple actors and crimes committed by different sides. By focusing solely on one aspect and attributing collective guilt to an entire ethnic group, the nuances and complexities of the conflict are ignored, ultimately hindering true reconciliation and peacebuilding efforts.
